For UCLA, a close-shave win over BYU isn’t a good win; it’s a great win, at least in the present moment. ESPN’s College GameDay will be in town to pound the hype drum. The Buffs defense also hauled-in 2 INTs for a team that played hard against its in-state rivals.
Game: Arizona 77, Northern Arizona 13.

Those would be Arizona’s final totals for the night. QB Anu Soloman had a fantastic game, completing 25 of 35 passes and throwing for 285 yards and 4 TDs.

Takeaway: Unfortunately for the Wildcats, there isn’t a lot to take away, given the level of competition.

In the meantime, I think the Pac-12 regular season is going to be one, entertaining brawl. Last season, the Buffs were 1-4 in games decided by a touchdown or less. It’s a little too early in the year to say that these teams are playing with house money.
Game: Oregon 61, Georgia State 28. Running back Nick Wilson added another 143 yards on the game, also with two touchdowns.
The Beavers put together a nice game against the San Jose State Spartans.
Stanford seemingly found its groove back in a Week 2 drubbing of UCF, and it certainly showed what it was capable of during a decisive win against USC in the conference opener.
His throws were tight and accurate. Running back Storm Barrs-Woods rushed for 151 yards.
Stanford and Long Beach State traded goals over the final six minutes as the Cardinal punched its ticket to the semifinals with the 11-4 victory.

Two college football dynasties were made miserable Saturday when they were supposed to be reasserting themselves inside their massive home palaces. Most alarming was the lack of toughness and discipline on defense. “As much as Stanford is that ‘ground-and-pound, ‘ the ball gets to the edge a lot”.
“But we get back to work. That didn’t happen enough for us”. The talk of Eugene this coming week will be when Adams will return to lead the offense. The Cardinal then held on downs to seal the win. Stanford had grabbed a 3-0 lead at halftime while USC’s offense struggled to take shape. Kessler finished 25 of 32 with 272 yards and three touchdowns.
That is absolutely true, BUT: There is a difference between not playing well and not being prepared to play.
Game: Utah 45, Fresno State 24. Liufau threw two touchdowns without an interception, a key factor in this game.

Wyoming 14 – WASHINGTON STATE 31: Something not heard often: WSU’s defense stepped up. RB Tre Madden had 9 carries for 64 yards and 1 TD.
QB Josh Rosen showed that he is indeed mortal and still a freshman. It looked more dynamic, seemed to have more misdirection built in. Aside from sacking quarterback Kevin Hogan three times, the Trojans defense had only one tackle for a loss. Arizona has averaged only 312.3 yards per game against the Bruins in the Mora-Rodriguez matchups. USC has lost, Oregon has lost, and while both Cal and UCLA remain undefeated, nobody expects that to last.
-Arizona used four quarterbacks against NAU, including fourth-string walk-on Zach Werlinger. Arizona’s rushing attack, itself, ran for 499 yards and seven touchdowns. They each have 10 touchdown tosses. USC can’t make a claim right now. But Stanford got back to campus late Saturday night and is headed back on the road Thursday afternoon. Arizona State hasn’t looked in sync. Protecting the quarterback has been an issue, as the Sun Devils have allowed 11 sacks (nine came in the opener against Texas A&M).

Michigan State: Cornerback Vayante Copeland will miss the rest of the season because of a fractured vertebra. Backup quarterback Jerrard Randall ran for a team-leading 149 yards on three carries, and two touchdowns.
