Arizona: Police Find Decapitated Women’s Body

Phoenix police officers found a woman’s decapitated body and two mutilated dogs inside an apartment where officials believe the man responsible also cut his left arm off and removed one of his own eyeballs. Inside a walk-in closet, police found the corpse of a decapitated woman.

Officers who entered the apartment said they also saw large amounts of blood on the floors, cabinets and walls. Trent Crump told the Arizona Republic.

Upon his discharge, the man faces murder charges and possibly other offenses related to the weekend incident. The suspect told the police officers that he had killed 3 family members. The victim was arrested in March of this year for domestic violence assault after she reportedly tried to stab the suspect.

Police would not say what the relationship was between the deceased woman and the suspect, but did say the man has a mental illness that was known about and police have taken calls from the apartment regarding the suspect and the victim.

He added that the two have a history of domestic-violence in their relationship, too. It is not known, if he was referring to the woman and the two dogs so are checking if other members of his family are accounted for.

As of Saturday evening, the suspect is in surgery for his injuries and will not be identified by authorities until he’s booked into jail.

His identity has not been confirmed. Neighbors have said the pair were a couple who had recently been fighting.

An off-duty firefighter and two police officers also attempted to rescue the woman. KNXV
