The Horned Frogs (1-1) rallied from 13 down in the fourth quarter to take a 28-20 lead, but couldn’t hang in the first meeting of these former Southwest Conference rivals since 1991.

That field goal? Well, it was blocked by 6-foot-10 Arkansas offensive lineman Dan Skipper, who used all 82 inches of his frame to get his hand on the ball.

After the Horned Frog drive stalled, Graf kicked a 37-yard field goal right up the middle of the uprights to give TCU a 38-35 lead. Georgia (2-0) trailed the Colonels 14-13 midway through the third after freshman quarterback Chase Fourcade, a surprise starter, threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Jarrell Rogers before Bulldogs quarterback Jacob Eason threw a 66-yard scoring pass to Isaiah McKenzie less than a minute after Nicholls (0-1) took the lead.

Bielema, now in his fourth season at Arkansas, got the up-close view of a Patterson-coached team in Wisconsin’s 21-19 loss in the Rose Bowl, before the Horned Frogs moved to the Big 12 and shared a conference title there two years ago. TCU allowed the Jackrabbits to throw for 333 yards in the game.

After Horned Frogs running back Kyle Hicks hauled in a 26-yard pass that set up TCU on the Arkansas nine, Hicks finished off the drive with a touchdown run on the very next play.

Arkansas’ size advantage wore out the Horned Frogs, as the Hogs marched down to the TCU six, but the TCU defense held strong near the goal line again and forced another field goal. Even though TCU totaled 222 yards of total offense through the first 30 minutes of play, the Razorbacks came up with two turnovers, including one interception that was returned for a touchdown.

What did we learn from Saturday night’s game between TCU and Arkansas? The senior’s first touchdown of the season put the Razorbacks up 20-7 at the end of the 3rd quarter. That duo would reconnect on the two-point conversion, but it was a reverse option pass from Hatcher to Allen that tied the game.

(19) MS 38, Wofford 13: In Oxford, Miss., Chad Kelly threw for 219 yards and three touchdowns to lead MS (1-1).

Iconic Arkansas coaches that Broyles, Holtz and Hatfield were, they didn’t have to contend with what Arkansas coach Bret Bielema contends with for this SEC vs. If they assert the run offense early on in the game they can try to spread the TCU defense with some mid range passes from Austin Allen.

The Arkansas Razorbacks have a lot to prove this Saturday. However, the Razorbacks would prefer to keep this game from turning into a shootout. Deonta Gray bolted inside the Arkansas 10 on a toss play on the next snap, but he lost the ball trying to spin away from Jeremiah Ledbetter and Dre Greenlaw fell on it at the Arkansas 4. “Just as long as I’ve been in this business, what he’s built at TCU, the culture he’s created, the environment”, Bielema said.

Hill marched TCU back down the field to set up a game-winning 28-yard field goal for TCU. But the Horned Frogs figure to stay in.

Austin Allen did not back down, and found Keon Hatcher with a minute left to get within two. Hill went 6-for-6 passing for 77 yards on the series. However TCU QB Kenny Hill threw back to back interceptions and South Dakota State took a 17-7 lead.
