If you are interested in the IoT and cutting edge devices you have probably heard of ARM’s mbed. ARM’s collaboration with wot.io empowers customers of ARM-based chip companies to develop and deploy IoT applications quickly with wot.io, through a choice of pre-integrated, scalable data services.

“Our mbed technology is uniquely positioned to deliver a secure, reliable framework for the transfer of data, control and software updates to the billions of IoT and M2M devices on the horizon”, said Coby Sella, vice president, products and technology, IoT business, ARM. The mbed OS Technology Preview will also allow developers to implement a few of ARM’s latest breakthrough products, including mbed TLS, the first native OS support for Thread and basic manageability of devices.

The Freescale Freedom FRDM-CR20A development board for the MCR20A 2.4GHz wireless transceiver connects with the mbed Enabled Freescale FRDM-K64F, forming an mbed supported solution. Together with ARM, we offer a robust end-to-end solution that enables IoT application developers to build and deploy secure, scalable IoT solutions with choice of third party data services. Furthermore ARM has welcomed 24 new mbed partners since May this year, including Alcatel-Lucent, Delta, ON Semiconductor, PixArt, Renesas, SK Telecom and Western Digital.

At ARM TechCon 2015, ARM is unveiling a number of new mbed IoT Device Platform products.

The mbed community has grown to more than 150,000 developers.

ARM also has two new design reference platforms for developers to try out.
