44, was taken into custody on July 9 after park security spotted him in the Esplanade area between the two theme parks, Anaheim police spokesman Lt. Eric Trapp said Wednesday. Park visitors must pass through a screening and security area at entrances.

Trapp said that the assistance of vigilant passersby and the police department’s partnership with Disneyland security prevented the situation from escalating. Agoncillo was booked and released after posting $20,000 bail.
A blog that focuses on Disney news first reported the man’s arrest last week, suggesting the gunman could have perpetrated a mass murder.
While authorities are trying to find a motive, reports say Agoncillo may have heard voices telling him to shoot people.
People wait in line to buy tickets for entry to Disneyland on January 22, 2015 in Anaheim. Daron Wyatt on Wednesday said he was not aware of such plans, cautioning he could not go into detail about the case.
“Fortunately, the programs we have in place worked”, the lieutenant said.
Officials say a post-arrest background check found that Agoncillo was on probation in San Mateo County for carrying a loaded gun.
A 44-year-old man from San Francisco arrested on suspicion of carrying a loaded gun at Disneyland is due in court in Anaheim on August. 27.
Investigators discovered that Agoncillo had a similar previous offense in San Mateo County, Trapp said.

Agoncillo is expected to appear in court on August 27 in Fullerton.

We’re only hearing about it now because It was clearly a cover-up by Anaheim Police and Disneyland. They should be ashamed of themselves. They let out a very dangerous person on only $20,000 bail, just so no one could break the illusion that nothing bad ever happens in Disneyland.
