Armed man raids Kilkenny post office
An unknown quantity of cash was stolen and three men left the area in an 03 navy blue Mazda auto with a Dublin registration.

A man armed with a firearm stole a quantity of cash from Mullinavat Post Office in Co Kilkenny earlier today.
The Garda Ombudsman is investigating the incident in Kerry after gardai pursuing a vehicle discharged shots.
Two of the men were later arrested in the Beaufort area, and are being held in custody.
The incident has been referred to the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GOSC), as is normal practice in such situations.
Any witnesses are asked to contact Killarney Garda Station on 064 667 1160.
Just after 11 o’clock this morning, gardai responded to reports of an armed robbery at Waterville Post Office in Co.
He left the scene with a sum of money and was caught by gardaí a short distance away. Kerry where a sum of money was taken.

The man was brought to Thomastown garda station where he was detained under section 30 Offences against the State Act.
