Army arrests Boko Haram members in Lagos

The army boss explained that his division is making effort to block the influx of Boko Haram fighters into the state stating that investigation is ongoing to uncover other members of the sect is hiding.

Boko Haram destroyed a Nigerian military base as soldiers fled and only self-defense fighters prevented the insurgents from retaking a northeastern town, residents said Monday.

An unspecified number of teenage girls were taken away early on Sunday in Bam village, located about 170km south of Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state, after razing buildings and killing at least seven people, an unnamed security officer said.

Instead, the group has increasingly favoured suicide and bomb attacks against civilians in towns and cities to secure maximum casualties and publicity.
