Earlier on Tuesday, Pakistan Army troopers started firing at Indian posts in Uri, Jammu and Kashmir, two days after an audacious terror strike killed 18 soldiers in the garrison town, near the Line of Control (LoC).

Chouhan further said that acting on tit a tat policy the Indian Army on Tuesday killed ten terrorists and warned the Pakistan that it should fix its condition and direction for future.
Director General Military Operations (DGMO) Ranbir Singh has said that the terrorists had certain items that confirm their Pakistani identity.

Kashmir has been split between India and Pakistan since the end of British rule in 1947.
Around eight terrorists had been killed till last count while others were engaged in an encounter. All the four militants were also killed.
“The group of heavily armed militants fired at soldiers, triggering an encounter in which one army soldier was critically injured”, the source said.

The assailants were killed, but there were more casualties on the Indian side.
After meeting corps commanders at the Rawalpindi general headquarters, the Pakistan Army Chief said the Pakistani Army is fully prepared to face any threat to the country’s security. More recently, in 1999, Atal Bihari Vajpayee persuaded the global community to force Pakistan to walk back across the Line of Control after it had invaded India at Kargil. “We need to loudly flag Pakistan’s involvement in the recent attacks on our strategic installations, be it Pathankot or Uri”, a senior official said.
Despite Islamabad’s strong denial of any involvement in Sunday’s attack, India’s politicians have lined up to apportion blame to Pakistan.

Kalia said troops in the same area had blocked an attempt by suspected militants to cross the LoC into Indian-administered Kashmir. Tens of thousands of people have died in the fighting, majority civilians.
