Army doesn’t speak, its shows valour: Modi on Uri

BSP Supremo saluted the sacrifice of the 10 Indian army soldiers who lost their lives during the terrorist attack on the army headquarters in Uri, Srinagar on September 18.

Death of a soldier is not merely his family’s loss but a loss for the entire country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressing the nation through his programme “Mann Ki Baat” on All India Radio, DD and his mobile app on Sunday.

On Jammu and Kashmir, Mayawati said that the situation there could not be controlled in past three months due to which the “people of the country are concerned”. “That is why, today I will say only this much, which I said on that day (of the incident) also and I will repeat it today, that the guilty will surely be punished”.

He further lauded Kashmiri people for rejecting terrorism and said, “Unity, harmony, and peace are the ways to resolve problems and move towards development”.

We are proud of our army. He also said that people can dial 1969 to trace the progress of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan or for requesting work in their areas. While politicians speak, military acts to show valour.

Appreciating the child’s “constructive thinking”, the Prime Minister said, “there is a lot of value to the anger that people of the country have”.

The Prime Minister also urged young entrepreneurs to contribute to the “Waste to Wealth” movement by coming up with start-ups to produce technologies that will help the “Waste to Wealth” industry.

“Instead of giving advice to Pakistan, the PM should look at his own government”.

He said it is the desire of all parents that schools and colleges in Kashmir started working properly and farmers there want that their produce should reach the markets of the country.

“The security of the people of Kashmir is the responsibility of the administration”.

The chiefs of the armed forces have a monthly meeting with the Prime Minister to discuss various issues, they said.

Saying that the people in Kashmir want peace and normalcy to return, Modi said they began recognising anti-state players there.
