Speaking at the event, the army chief said that the Army Public School tragedy can never be forgotten. General Raheel Sharif met each family and separately expressed his profound grief and solidarity with the bereaved families, a statement from the armys media wing ISPR said. Fateha for the martyred children, teachers and soldiers was also offered.

General Sharif said the whole nation and Armed Forces stand firmly with the affected families and acknowledged their sacrifice. “No religion or society allows such massacres”, he said.
COAS informed the parents that most of the terrorists involved in the heinous act have met their fate.
