The masked robber can be seen dropping his knife at one point but picking up the owner’s knife after a struggle in which the burglar threw down display shelves and hit the owner with a can of corn.

Jose Tirado-Sanchez, 36, leaped onto the counter and ordered the owner of Jarek’s Market to give him money Sunday morning around 10 a.m., ABC News reported.

A MA store owner brandished a knife to defend himself from a similarly armed robber, leading to a knife fight that ended without anyone getting cut.

Hasan, who stands 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds, grabbed a large knife from under the counter and began swinging back at the robber, throwing him off-kilter. “He said, ‘Give me money, give me money”, the victim, who didn’t want to be identified, told WCVB-TV in Boston. Surveillance video from 2014 shows the clerk scaring off another would-be robber.

Police said the owner knocked the knife out of the suspect’s hand, but dropped the knife he was holding.

Police said the investigation is active and they plan to release more information on Tuesday.

“I am surprised”, the victim said.

An officer responding to an unrelated call in the area the next day found a man “fitting the physical and clothing description of the robbery subject”, police said. He said he was very happy the man was arrested.
