Arrest made in connection to murder of pastor’s pregnant wife
Prosecutors have filed a long list of charges, including for burglary and homicide, against two of three men newly arrested in connection with the November 10 murder of an Indianapolis pastor’s wife, according to court records. They say the men discovered the camera and disabled it. Prosecutors say a witness told detectives Taylor wanted to kill the sleeping occupant of the apartment, but was talked out of it by the other two men.

There, the documents say, Taylor hit Blackburn in the mouth with a gun and stayed behind as the other two attempted to use her ATM card to get money.
A teen faces 13 charges in connection with the rape and killing of Amanda Blackburn, pregnant wife on an Indianapolis pastor, Davey Blackburn.
Taylor was arrested overnight on a preliminary murder charge in Amanda Blackburn’s killing and is being held at the Marion County Jail.
Taylor was charged with three counts of murder as well as burglary, theft, auto theft and carrying a handgun without a licence.
Watson and Taylor each faces numerous charges in addition to murder – including robbery, burglary and criminal confinement – all of which are considered to be “aggravating circumstances” under in law, which could qualify the men for the death penalty, if convicted.
Jalen Watson has been charged with Murder, Burglary (Level 1 Felony), Theft (Level 6 Felony), Robbery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury (Level 2 Felony), Burglary (Level 4 Felony), Theft (Level 6 Felony), Auto Theft (Level 6 Felony), Burglary (Level 4 Felony) and Theft (Level 6 Felony).
Taylor also faces misdemeanor public nudity and public indecency charges stemming from an unrelated June arrest. At an afternoon news conference Monday, Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry said there was “no sufficient evidence to file sexual assault charges”. She was also shot in the left arm and upper back, said police.
Their toddler was upstairs in a crib in a bedroom when it happened. Curry says that decision will take at least a month while his office conducts its standard review of capital cases.
That’s some good news for Pastor Davey Blackburn and the family.
Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s gang and violent crime units arrested Mr. Taylor with help from U.S. Marshals, police said in a news release.
Davey Blackburn was on the phone to a friend when he pulled into the driveway of his home on November 10, after his morning workout.
The brutality and seeming randomness of the crime sparked local and national outrage, and an intense hunt for Blackburn’s killers. “Our detectives truly have worked several days without sleep putting all the pieces of this puzzle together”. The child did not survive.

The Blackburns moved to Indianapolis in January of 2012 “with a dream and a calling to start a life-giving church that would connect with people who normally wouldn’t connect with church”, the couple wrote on Resonate Church’s Web site, reported the Post.
