Arrest Made in Dallas Murder

Hatcher, 35, had reportedly just driven into the parking garage of the apartment building where she lived in the Dallas’ Uptown neighborhood around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday night when she was approached by someone getting out of a Jeep.

A woman came to Dallas PD’s headquarters and told police she’d lent the vehicle to Cortez, who also went to the headquarters and confessed to the killing.

Now police have made a public appeal for information after identifying a “vehicle of interest” in the execution, reported the Dallas Morning News.

Police said the Cherokee parked and waited in a parking space.

A witness said that the driver of a Jeep Cherokee had followed another driver through the security gate of the garage shortly before Hatcher arrived there.

‘We believe the occupant or occupants of that vehicle likely have information related to the offense and are asking for the community’s help in locating the vehicle and any occupants, ‘ Geron said.

Detectives aren’t saying what led them to the suspect.

Police have upped patrols in the area and have asked residents to remain vigilant.

He added that his sister enjoyed “to travel, loved her family and loved working with children”.

‘Since we found out (late Thursday afternoon), it’s brought on another wave of shock and sadness.’

A former dentist who worked in The Woodlands was murdered in a Dallas parking garage.

Hatcher’s death shook her friends and colleagues, NBC5 reported. Christine Foley, a friend, told NBC Dallas Fort Wroth.
