According to TMZ, via a rep from Broward County Courts, a warrant is out for Mason’s arrest because he missed his date with the judge.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Rams running back Tre Mason for failing to appear in court on Monday.

Police allege Mason that on March 5, Mason was speeding, then failed to pull over for a traffic stop. When the officer attempted to removed Mason from the vehicle by taking his left arm, Mason braced himself against the car’s floor, seat and steering wheel.

Mason refused to give the patrol officer his name or provide identification, and the officer smelled marijuana in the vehicle. Mason was taken into custody and treated at a local hospital as part of the department’s protocol for suspects subdued by taser guns.

Mason was a third-round pick in the 2014 National Football League draft and became the starter in his rookie season, rushing for 765 yards and four touchdowns in 12 games. His role dropped off significantly last season following the arrival of Todd Gurley, however, as the Auburn product received just 75 carries in 13 appearances.

The Rams are scheduled to begin offseason workouts on Monday.

‘We’re still waiting on that.

‘I’m expecting Tre to be present for the offseason program. “We are in the process of obtaining more information about the facts surrounding this incident and will have no further comment at this time”.
