A North Dakota sheriff’s office pressed charges against Jill Stein Wednesday after the Green Party presidential nominee spray-painted a bulldozer during an environmental protest.

Green Party Presidential candidate Jill Stein may face charges of vandalism or trespassing in the wake of an incident involving spray paint on Dakota Access Pipeline machinery which took place on Tuesday in Morton County, N.D., according to the Bismarck Tribune.

Stein’s campaign spokeswoman Meleiza Figueroa said activists invited the Green Party candidate to leave a message at the protest site. Her running mate, Ajamu Baraka, was also charged for painting the word “decolonization” on another piece of nearby equipment.

The warrant, as well as misdemeanor charges for criminal trespass and criminal mischief, were filed Wednesday in Morton County.

Ms Figueroa could not comment on whether or not Ms Stein intends to turn herself in, the Associated Press said. The government responded by hiring a private security firm, who sicced their dogs on the protesters and pepper-sprayed at least 30 of them, some of them children.

For weeks, the Standing Rock Sioux tribe has led demonstrations against the massive oil pipeline, which will span at least 1,168 miles, from North Dakota to IL.

Mrs Stein was also arrested during her 2012 campaign. The project, according to CBS News, is opposed by members of the Standing Rock Sioux Native American tribe, out of concerns over its impact to drinking water, and disturbance of sacred sites.

Stein was part of 150-200 person demonstration at a Dakota Access Pipeline work site this weekend.

A federal judge is set to deliver a key ruling on the four-state Dakota Access pipeline that has drawn thousands of protesters to a construction site in North Dakota in recent weeks.

The judge said he would decide by Friday whether to grant the tribes’ larger challenge to the pipeline, which would require the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to withdraw permits for the project.

According to the RealClearPolitics polling average, the Green Party candidate has never polled above five percent in this election cycle, and is now on 3.2 percent. “It can not be allowed to go forward”, she added.

Stein, as PJ Media suggests, seems to have found a way to combine some of the worst traits of the two principal candidates, that being Hillary Clinton’s criminal behavior and Donald Trump’s boorishness.
