There’s no sign of Dolph in the newly-released promo – nor a scene of Russians chanting “Arrow”.

“Arrow” season 5 will not be a walk in the park for hooded vigilante Oliver Queen, as he’s expected to square off with someone connected to his past.
“We’re dealing with the Bratva, and the Bratva is, as we all know, a pretty interesting and messed-up institution”. The writers also revealed that they have done extensive research on the Bratva, as well as the Russian prison system, in order to ensure fans that what they will experience in every Russian scene will be authentic, and as dark as possible. Everyone on the staff was required to watch the 2007 flick “Eastern Promises”. The actor will be playing the part of a powerful gangster, someone looking to unite numerous criminal organizations in Star City. That will take the form of Prometheus, a villain many will recognize from the comics. The character is someone who is out for revenge and has spent the last few years plotting and planning.
In addition to The Wire star Chad Coleman taking the role of new baddie Tobias Church, alongside flashback villain Dolph Lundgren, wayward vigilantism appears to be a major theme for Arrow Season 5, following the return of Madison McLaughlin as a new Artemis, as well additions of Wil Traval’s Human Target, Rick Gonzalez’s Wild Dog, and Josh Segarra’s “Vigilante.” Star Stephen Amell teased that “Arrow” Season 5 wouldn’t make too many obvious changes right away.
According to Cinema Blend, the executive producer of “Arrow”, Wendy Mericle, revealed that Lundgren’s character is a government strongman, who is a scary and bad man in power. The character? A Russian. The character apparently had a role in some of the things that happened with Taiana’s (Elysia Rotaru) family in the previous season.
