‘Arrow’ Season 4, Episode 18 Live Stream and Preview
Arrow just delivered a gut-wrenching twist to loyal fans! Being Black Canary at night, district attorney by day is no easy decision for Laurel to make, just as Thea realized her father is not a good person at all, and a battle ensured as Malcolm infiltrated the lair.

Laurel makes it out of surgery and the random surgeon tells the team that Laurel will be okay. “Tell him I’m a man of my word”. The team dissects the problem in the Arrow Cave, where they’re storing Darhk’s idol, and Oliver reveals to the team that he saw it before. Your reaction to whatever happened (or is still to happen) with Laurel tonight likely depends on what kind of show you want Arrow to be. Not only would the death strike him hard, but it would also be a blow to Team Arrow. What would be more devastating to fans and viewers than the death of an Original Team Arrow member? Captain Lance reminds her that the DA has a 24/7 protection detail and by assuming the role she’d have to give up being the Black Canary. There’s one very important question, though. Do not read on if you haven’t seen the episode. “That’s what we wanted”, Mericle explained.
In an interview with TV Line, executive producer Marc Guggenheim confirmed that “Eleven Fifty-Nine” is indeed the episode where the character who will be killed off will be named. But then, the only reason anyone had to die, or appear to die, in the first place is that the season premiere gave us a year-spanning Chekhov’s gun, with the flash-forward to someone’s grave. When they do, Andy reveals he has been working for Darhk the entire time and hands him the missing piece of the idol. Just before getting his powers back, Thea shoots Darhk with two arrows. “Death does not mean goodbye on any of these shows, but we made a creative choice, and we’re sticking to it”. “And in the case of Diggle, it feels like we had a bit more story to tell with Diggle, and we weren’t prepared to trade away those stories”. However, the producers are standing firm that Wednesday’s death will be a permanent one. I will say I sure hope Oliver isn’t in on this particular secret, because if he does allow Diggle to carry the guilt of Laurel’s death and allow Lance to labor under the belief he has lost a daughter for the third time, then I really don’t see how Oliver isn’t a completely irredeemable asshole at that point. Theres no doubt that the rest of the Arrow crime-fighting crew will be dealing with the repercussions of Laurels murder for a long time to come. Long before a team of superheroes was saving Star City on a regular basis, Oliver, Felcity and Diggle were a force to be reckoned with. “But we’re already at work on season five and we already plan on bringing in some new characters – hopefully in a way that we haven’t done before”.
From the show’s perspective, she’s been out of character rehab for a while and could theoretically be slotted back into the way the Green Arrow and Black Canary’s relationship goes in the comics. She was around for nearly 90 episodes of the series, and had a wide array of powerful / super-significant moments as a result of that. Whatever your feelings about her death, killing off a character who was a huge part of the series from the get-go is a big deal.

The Arrow EP admitted that Amell and Cassidy have yet to actually film the conversation, but he’s open to having Cassidy return to “relive that moment”. “We never really thought about going back to it. [Fans rooting for them] was not an element or a factor for us”. Before dying, however, she said something in his ear that the audience was not privy to hear.
