Unfortunately, Damien Darhk is furious that Oliver disobeyed his orders to leave the Star City bay alone and uses drones to try and kill the volunteers. The trailer ends with both Oliver and Felicity saying “I love you” to one another as Felicity’s chamber is about to be filled with that gas hinting her possible death in the show, ComicBook reported.

The idea that Felicity might die is closely tied in with the flash-forward scene that was shown earlier in the season.

Although Oliver and his team are set to attack Darhk and HIVE, things do not turn out well for them.
Another photo shows Darhk behind Diggle, Thea and Felicity at an Oliver Queen mayoral campaign event. Whether that happens at all or before Felicity’s life is in danger remains to be seen. Malcom checks in on Thea and leaves her with a warning.

Arrow season 4 episode 9 airs this Wednesday, 9 December, at 8pm ET/PT on The CW. While the Lazarus Pit may no longer be a factor on “Arrow”, the mystic world has come to play a huge role this season.
