Arsenal believe they can win the league, says assist-man Ozil
“They have players who can tuck in like De Bruyne and Silva who you do not want to get on the ball in the last 30 yards and overall we did that tactically well”.

Olivier Giroud (R) celebrates scoring the second goal for Arsenal with Mesut Ozil (L) and Theo Walcott during their Premier League match against Manchester City at Emirates Stadium in London Monday.
On gaining title belief with victory over Manchester City: “It was an important win for us but we already had a good confidence level”. “He had only one training session”.
“It is a game you come out very happy as we have shown all types of ingredients you need in these big games”, Wenger said.
Per Mertesacker believes Arsenal’s newfound tactical flexibility and ability to switch game-plans makes them stronger than in previous years, although the club captain has cautiously insisted that this does not make them automatic contenders for the title. “So for a guy that could not prepare or work well he has done well physically”.
Arsenal’s bid for a first Premier League title since 2004 has received political backing from Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, who says Arsene Wenger told him last month the Gunners are in with a shot. “I think the way we played in the second half we are going to be an important team in fighting for the title”, he stressed after the game.
“You could see when the legs went – Ozil was sick all week – but they still kept going”.
In our team, most of the time, Ozil is this player. He plays to win the game. “You see on the pitch all my team-mates help me so I can play my game, so likewise I just try to help the team”.
“His talent is exceptional and he realise he can help us in every single game”.
“Sometimes we need to adjust, we don’t have all the players available at the minute so we [thought] that was the best way to win against City”. “A year ago they would have been losing that game”.

“We haven’t proven anything yet and we haven’t been that consistent that we can talk about that”, he said after Arsenal’s fourth-straight win in all competitions.
