Express Sport understands the Gunners are set to wrap up deals for Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi and Deportivo La Coruna striker Lucas Perez.

Mustafi, on the other hand, has been one of the transfer sagas of the summer, with both Arsenal and Valencia going back and forth on the fee before finally agreeing on a reported £35m (m) fee.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger takes a lot of criticism for his activities, or quite often, lack of activities in the transfer market.
Everton are still hopeful that they will be able to finalize the deal with Lucas Perez Martinez, but Arsenal are desperate to sign a striker this summer and see the player as a ideal alternative to their missed target Jamie Vardy.
“We are working on the deals”, said a confident Wenger at his press conference on Friday morning.
“Basically we got what we were expected”, he said.
However Wenger confirmed before the visit to Watford that Chambers would be allowed to depart the club on loan before the close of the transfer window, with the Arsenal manager expecting to unveil Mustafi early next week.
‘This season I thought we had the most easy transfer window ever, because we knew what we wanted and who we wanted and it didn’t come off so you have to restart, ‘ admitted Wenger.
“We have to finish the paperwork”. “I expected it to be easier than ever but it was more hard than ever”.
“We had a good cushion at half time”. And that everybody sat on his pounds until now.
For 24-year-old Mustafi a move to Arsenal would mark a return to English football, four years after leaving Everton.
“Not for me, not for us”, he said.

I’d imagine “integrating them into the squad” means you shouldn’t expect the pair to start immediately after the global break, but hey, who knows? I try to make the decision. “So I think he has good linkup qualities, good quality of receptions, good finishing qualities”.
