Arsenal, who have not won in their last three games against Sunderland, are eyeing maximum points from what is to be a “massive” festive period, winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain said.
Which injured player will Arsenal miss the most?
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger feels Ryan Bennett’s camera push on Alexis Sanchez “could have killed” the Chilean forward. We have no more injuries than anyone else.
“Nobody suggested that he could displace his back or his hamstring when he was pushed into the boards on the side of the field”.
“We are not after John Stones if that’s what you want to know, we are focused on tomorrow’s game”.
Norwich declined to comment but it is understood the Premier League have written to them reminding them of their responsibilities.
“I don’t know”, he added.
“Sanchez is a hamstring [injury] but I don’t know how long it will take”.
Cazorla played on for the entire second half with the injury but Wenger revealed his movement was so restricted that his yellow card for diving could be explained by an inability to turn his body. “I can use [Chambers there too] if needed, he can play there”.
“We know now. It has occurred already. (Kieran) Gibbs is available again for the weekend”, Wenger said in comments published on the Arsenal website. “That’s a massive bonus which I did not expect when I came here”, he said.
“There is always a risk when a player has been out for five weeks that in the first two or three weeks he has a recurrence of the injury because nobody can tell you the risk doesn’t exist”. But what winds me up is to lose games against them. You can analyse many things, pitches, the pace, the intensity, but also there are mental components and psychological factors in injuries.

When asked about having to put the brakes on when playing centrally, Ramsey said: “It is a bit easier at home because we have the majority of the ball and Flamini normally stays behind so we have that bit of licence”.
