Arsenal eye move for City starlet Campbell

Arsene Wenger believes his Arsenal side are now proving they have the character to fight for the Barclays Premier League title.

The Gunner will host City at the Emirates tonight and they will be looking to come-off the game with three points and maintain their place on the League table.

Walcott’s strike, which came in the 33rd minute, was actually the first meaningful effort Arsenal were able to muster on goal. What I feel is great team spirit and great unity in the dressing room, and focus to go forward, that’s for sure.

“It’s not a decisive game as after this we have to play 21 games more…”

“It was hard to take but we had to survive financially and we had to live with it”, Wenger said, per Greg Stobart of Goal. “For instance, I get treatment from the physios on days off and I also [get] a good sleep”.

The Spaniard has won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and a League Cup since his arrival in England back in 2010, and now he wants European success to finalise a clean sweep of major honours as a Blue.

City have insisted that it is not an easy draw, but they will be confident of reaching the quarter-finals of Europe’s elite competition for the first time.

“We watched him but you miss obvious players”.

Arsenal have no new injury concerns following their win over Aston Villa last time round, but they are still without Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin, Danny Welbeck, Tomas Rosicky and Jack Wilshere. They have the right amount of talent in the team but they have to bring their best in order to beat a team like Barcelona.

Arsenal look set to welcome Alexis Sanchez back in to the squad after he returned to full training last week following three weeks out with a hamstring injury.

Campbell, 15, was incredibly impressive for City’s Under-16s last season and scored 49 goals – this goalscoring form appears to have alerted the north London outfit to his potential.

With a large number of injuries in the side, Arsenal’s lineup pretty much selects itself.

I can see it being an open game with plenty of goals and that plays in to Arsenal’s hands.
