Arsenal failed to break Leicester juggernaut
TWO firefighters who became a laughing stock after accidentally placing a £5 bet on Leicester City FC to win the Premier League may soon have the last laugh…by bagging £10,000 each!

Arsenal are set for a tricky few years, with this summer being a major test for the North London giants as they look to build upon the back-to-back FA Cup success and push for the Premier League crown.
“Daniel [Amartey] is not ready now, I think in the next match against Norwich he’s ready”, Ranieri said as quoted by Leicester Mercury in the press conference ahead of the game against Arsenal.
But Ranieri sounded unconcerned: “We don’t have the pressure, we did our job”. “I never thought in my life I’d be saying this, but they can win the league and deserve a lot of credit”.
While Arsenal and Manchester City, third and fourth respectively, are familiar with the home stretch of a title chase, once described by former Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson as “squeaky bum time”, Leicester and Tottenham are entering unfamiliar territory.
“He wanted to see a game and the way we played that day he can come every week”, Vardy told the Daily Star. They’ve been making a good go of it this season, so we should be in for quite a fight.
Arsene Wenger is out to spoil Leicester City’s party and the Arsenal manager said he will not hold anything back against their unlikely title rivals on Sunday.
Most people expect Arsenal and Man City to win the league.
Acknowledging Ranieri’s formidable team, Wenger is quoted by Sky Sports to have said: “They have become solid potential winners of the league”.
“The pressure is on the other teams”.
Apart from that, only three players remain unavailable and one of them, Danny Welbeck, is “very close” to a return according to Wenger. If I have a full-back on either side who is very quick there is not so much damage done because he can be covered from the right and the left.
“We will try of course to stop their counter-attacking”, he said.
“It has been a while since we last won something”. “My mind goes over seven days and the next game against Arsenal, a tough match with fantastic players”.

With no goals conceded in either of those games, Wenger must decide whether to recall Mertesacker or continue to partner Gabriel with Laurent Koscielny. “I ask a bit more Petr Cech to lead because they don’t talk too much”.
