Arsenal fans given boost as Alexis Sanchez returns to training ahead of
Arsène Wenger will keep open the possibility of including Alexis Sánchez in his squad for Sunday’s opener against West Ham United when Arsenal will be without Jack Wilshere, Danny Welbeck and Tomas Rosicky.

The Chile global returned to training with the north London club this week after being granted an extended summer holiday following his involvement in the Copa America.
“Sunday will come too early but in 10 days he should be alright”, Wenger said at his pre-match press conference.
“I think this is a normal thing for me to sign a new contract”.
Mourinho is in his second spell in charge at Stamford Bridge after returning to the west London club in 2013.
“Alex without running around is not Alex, you know”, Wenger said of the Chilean. “That wouldn’t be him“.
There was major news on Thursday morning, as it was confirmed that Jack Wilshere has suffered a hairline fracture to his right ankle following a heavy challenge from Gabriel Paulista in training, and will be sidelined for six to eight weeks.
The gifted Wilshere was to be an important part of that continuing progress, but the manager must now do without him for the first few weeks of the new campaign starting this weekend.
“We have Welbeck on a progressive recovery and [Tomas] Rosicky on a progressive recovery”, he said. “It was a collision in training and it was all completely accidental”. “There is minimal damage apart from the bone”.
