Arsenal ‘Interested In Selfies And Six-Packs’

Roy Keane has criticised Manchester United’s approach to transfers, accused Arsenal’s players of vanity, and tipped Chelsea for the title.

Keane, a fire and brimstone midfielder, won seven Premier League titles as a player and enjoyed particularly competitive relationship with Arsenal and their similarly combative captain Patrick Viera.

“They’ve got good players, really good players, it’s just one or two of their players are more interested in selfies and six-packs,”.

“Listen, every year we hear the same thing about Arsenal being contenders. It’s all about how their bodies look, how their hair is, more so than winning football matches “.

And his old club United were the first to get both barrels, with the Irishman claiming they had lost their way.

“Van Gaal’s had a full pre-season this year”.

Since the turn of the year, Wenger’s men have proven they are a group of potential champions and retaining the FA Cup suggests the eagerness is there to win the biggest prizes on offer.

“United have gone away from what they were about – being a club whose squad seamlessly evolves from one season to the next”.

“If their players show the same hunger and desire they did last year, they will do it again. I still think they need a centre-half”.

Former Chelsea man Frank Leboeuf is more concerned with Manchester United’s back line than he is with the form of David de Gea. “Their team is the one with the strongest spine – John Terry, their goalkeeper [Thibaut Courtois], Eden Hazard – and if they can add John Stones to their team then they will be even harder to beat”.

“If Diego Costa stays fit, with Radamel Falcao in the background and if Chelsea stay hungry, they’ll do it again”.

“City have bought two players since last season ended but I don’t think their dressing room has been improved”, he added.

Speaking ahead of the Community Shield, where Arsenal will face league champions Chelsea, Keane said that that he thinks the Gunners’ selfie obsession will hold them back.
