Arsenal look to revive title tilt at Bournemouth

Wenger has overseen 1,100 Arsenal matches and enjoyed a 57.5% winning percentage, however, the current Premier League landscape has provided the Gunners with an opportune moment to claim an elusive title – something Arsene may have already surrendered.

“Early in the game we found it hard to get pressure on the ball and to really influence their possession”, Howe added. We have a big game against them next week, so I’m sure that will be on that everyone will be interested in seeing.

The Gunners went on to secure a vital three points in the quest for their first Premier League crown in 12 years, and Souness insisted they were given a helping hand by lenient officiating. He had Robin van Persie, players like that, so I gave him authorization to go somewhere and play, which he did.

“We played at Stoke, we played a 0-0 what was not a shame because they are quite strong at home”.

But with Bournemouth’s first-half response limited to an excellent dipping shot from Harry Arter that drew an acrobatic save from Petr Cech, there seemed little chance of a comeback.

However, that is not how Bournemouth like to play their football, and we can very well expect an interesting game with Arsenal struggling to regain their form that had given them the tag of serious title challengers, just a few weeks back.

Arsene Wenger has revealed that Danny Welbeck is well on course for a return, having played for the U21 side, but needs a run of games to be back to full fitness.

“I think we needed to win the game”.

He said, “Although we have had a bad spell because we have not won for four games, the performances haven’t been bad at all”.

And the club have further angered a number of supporters by informing them they face an additional supplement on their season ticket renewals as they face Barcelona at home in their Champions League last-16 tie later this month.

“We have to prepare without being obsessed with (scoring) – finishing is cyclic and if we create the same amount of chances we will score”.

“It’s very important that, even when you have a rough spell which you will definitely have in a season, you stay positive, don’t panic, analyse everything in the right way and believe you have what it takes to win the league”.

“If against Southampton we think a miracle man could have scored the goal for us…” Alexis Sanchez is still not fit while Olivier Giroud has now gone five games without a goal.

“I have to accept that everybody can have different opinions”, Wenger said.
