Arsenal ready new contract for Mesut Ozil

The north London club started their campaign in the worst possible fashion, when they lost at home to West Ham United, but have since grown from strength to strength and have lost just one game since, which was against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Mesut Ozil is breaking all kinds of unbelievable records in the Premier League with his creative stats and is finally proving all of his doubters wrong.

And Ljungberg, who spent nine years under Wenger – winning two Premier League titles and three FA Cups, as well as reaching the Champions League final in 2006 – says his former manager can be proud of his legacy.

“I don’t think there’s a better No 10 than him at the moment”. You get the drill.

He believes Arsenal have a better squad than the 2013/14 season and is hoping that they can do something special this term to end their more than a decade long title drought. “We have different players and are more competitive”.

The German has been the Arsenal’s standout player in 2015/16, scoring twice and assisting 10 goals in 16 appearances. “If [Mesut] Ozil carries on performing like he is, and the guys are doing what they’re doing around him, and we know Alexis Sanchez can be that guy also for us”. You only need to look at his Twitter account-or whoever runs it-to see that.

When asked what the secret behind Arsenal’s impressive form this season was, Monreal said: “I will say that we are playing more compact, like a unit”.

So go on Arsenal, give him his new contract, then sit back and watch a very modern football reaction to a very modern football footballer.
