Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere set to miss start of season with ankle injury
Arsenal will hold Wilshere out of the opening Premier League match after the midfielder injured his ankle in training on Saturday, according to the Daily Mail.

The Gunners concluded the past program in an intense style however a sub-standard start towards the spell was in fact maybe the good reason that these never endangered Chelsea or Manchester City.
“If we can win the ball back in the opposition’s half where, most of the time, when we win it we’ve got the players up front and the quality in midfield to find them…then we’re always going to look unsafe”.
Wilshere was fit for Arsenal’s run-in last term, which saw them finish third in the Premier League and retain the FA Cup, and scored twice in England’s 3-2 European Championship qualifying win over Slovenia in June.
Wilshere was later fined £40,000 by the FA with severe warning about his future behaviour but Sky Sports pundit Neville says he loved the passion displayed by the home grown Arsenal midfielder.
“I missed a lot of football and when you’re on the sidelines watching the team do well, sometimes it’s hard because you want to come back and play“.
On a personal level, Wilshere can not wait for the new campaign to start after what has been an injury-ravaged past few years for the 23-year-old, especially given how well he ended last season.

Although Wilshere could even be in contention to play against the Hammers, Wenger hinted he will choose to give him the weekend off instead, in order to ensure his recovery is complete.
