Arsenal star Mesut Ozil expected to start against Everton – Expected Starting

The midfielder, 24, is out for up to a month with the hamstring injury he suffered against Bayern Munich.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he is looking for Mesut Ozil to add goals to his game.

Wenger said after the game that Ramsey was “very down” after realising the injury was “quite a tough one”, and the Gunners boss has now ruled the midfielder out until after the worldwide break in mid-November.

“With the (last) global break, the fact that he played against Andorra certainly cost (Gareth) Bale and him as well”.

“We know we’re going to find a team probably in their best moment”.

Meanwhile in domestic action, the Gunners have shut out the opposition in five of their last seven outings, with Premier League top scorer Jamie Vardy and dominant Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma the only opponents to breach their defence.

Manchester City is two points clear at the top and can extend that advantage if it can beat its cross-town rivals in the Manchester derby tomorow night.

“We lead our group and have a home game”, the forward said.

“What is the most important for me is to continue to develop as a team, to feel that we grow in the quality of our game”. People reproached us many times, “Okay, Arsenal play football but they are a bit fragile”. Ozil, Cazorla, Walcott and Sanchez all provide different attacking options but Giroud has the ability to play through the center, hold up play and of course has significant aerial presence in the box.

Speaking in his press conference ahead of this weekend’s clash against Everton, Wenger said: “I have a lot of respect for Louis van Gaal but I don’t agree with him on that”. “I consider the form and the game of the day as well but at the end of the season both will have played their share of games”.

“It is always hard”, said Wenger.

With only Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott as the recognised striker, Arsene Wenger insists he will rotate them. “What is important is that both contribute”.

David Ospina and Mikel Arteta remain on the treatment table, along with long-term absentees Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky and Danny Welbeck.

If Ramsey’s problem is as serious as feared, the 24-year-old will also miss Premier League games against Everton, Swansea and Tottenham, the League Cup fourth-round game at Sheffield Wednesday and the return Champions League match at Bayern Munich.
