Arsenal suffer setback ahead of AC Milan game
Defeat leaves Arsenal with little hope of a Champions League finish, and their hopes resting upon Europa League success. The way the Manchester clubs are spending, it will take a Leicester City style “lightning in a bottle year” to win a Premier League title.

So it wouldn’t be wrong to suggest Arsenal are enduring one of their – if not the one – worst runs in the recent memory and the harder part is that they can’t seem to do absolutely anything about it.
Arsenal have reportedly received an injury setback ahead of their Europa League round of 16 first-leg versus AC Milan.
The interval came at the right time for Brighton and while the Seagulls didn’t develop the same momentum at the start of the second period, they again showed they could stretch the Arsenal defence.
A string of poor results, including losing their last four on the bounce, has intensified the pressure on the Gunners’ long-serving manager, with many calling for him to step down.
Three of those victories came at BATE Borisov, Red Star Belgrade and Ostersund, not particularly hard hunting grounds, and – having lost 4-0 the last time they faced AC Milan at the San Siro – not even history is on the side on Wenger and his players.
The Serie A giants suffered the ignominy of having to go through two qualifying rounds just to reach the group stage of the Europa League after finishing sixth in Serie A last season.
Beaten 2-1 by Brighton on Sunday, the Gunners have now lost each of their last four games in all competitions.
“It’s not the easiest time for the club, but we are here to help, do our best, and put Arsenal on the level that it was before”. A win in this game will do many wonders for Arsenal but I don’t think that they are good enough at the moment get the win away from home at the San Siro.

Veteran French boss Wenger has been in charge at Arsenal since 1996 and it remains to be seen whether US-based owner Stan Kroenke has the stomach to sack a manager who has never given the slightest hint he will resign. Let us know in the comments…
