Arsenal know they must win to keep any chance of getting out of the group stages alive and, even then, anything other than a victory for Bayern Munich over Olympiakos in Germany would see Wenger’s side eliminated.

Arsenal have lost all three of their previous Champions League games away to Olympiakos, but all in the final group game when qualification had already been assured.

Ahead of a must-win Group F clash for Arsenal in London on Tuesday, Wenger said he was surprised the result was allowed to stand.

“It was important that we didn’t concede the first goal, they were quite unsafe going forward but overall we had a game of quality that we controlled well”.

“Certainly to strengthen the bench because it could be one of those games that goes right to the wire”.

They will play Olympiacos in Greece on December 9th in a must win situation. I don’t know, but I believe we can do it.

Ibrahimovic left Inter Milan the season before they won the Champions League under Jose Mourinho’s guidance in 2010, and a year later when his Barcelona teammates hoisted Europe’s biggest prize, he was spending a season on loan at AC Milan.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted it would have been “too adventurous” to start Aaron Ramsey against Dinamo Zagreb, as per BBC Sport.

On a night where it was imperative that they picked up all three points, Arsenal did so against Dinamo Zagreb and did so with some comfort. We needed to do the job, and Bayern needed to do the job (beat Olympiacos).

“We wanted to come out of the game with a chance to qualify”.

“We have come out with a chance – let’s make right what we didn’t do right until now”, said Wenger.

Arsenal’s cause has not been helped by an injury to French midfielder Francis Coquelin, who will be out for at least two months with a knee problem. “It has been hard for us due to our results and our performances but there is still a chance for us and we want to take it seriously”. Sanchez proceeded to dribble around the goalkeeper and scored to give Arsenal a 3-0 lead.
