Arsene Wenger: Arsenal players have ‘fantastic spirit’ and will bounce back
There is little time for Arsenal to wallow, though, as they take on another south-coast side, Bournemouth, on Monday.

Arsenal host Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on Monday trading as bet365’s 4/9 favourites to get their Premier League title push back on track with a win.
“We have short-term worries and we want to respond”.
“Unfortunately, there’s no possible career without disappointment”.
The Cherries are among the relegation candidates, but they play good and attacking football.
“So it is down to how you respond and I trust my players to respond in a very strong way on Monday”.
But this was a potentially damaging result and display and Arsene Wenger’s men must now aim for six points and nothing less from home matches against Bournemouth and Newcastle United.
“On top of that, well done Southampton and I hope in the next game we have this kind of decisions for us”.
“After the Tottenham game the gaffer said to us it wasn’t our formation which was causing us problems, it was more mental and confidence”. Noble said. “We miss the players who create stuff and score goals. These players have fantastic spirit and they will show that”.
“We are disappointed and frustrated, but there’s only one way to respond in 48 hours”. The first goal was offside, the second a foul and the third was a goal kick. The first goal by right-back Cuco Martina – a 30-yard screamer on the 19th minute – shocked the Gunners and after that the longer the game went without Arsenal equalizing, the more Southampton pushed forward.
“We are a bit short, I agree with you, because of the injuries we have”.
The Arsenal manager downplayed speculation linking him with a move for Basle’s Mohamed Elneny and was keen to underline the quality waiting that will be at his disposal after injury.
“The title is down to consistency to battle in each and every diversion and produce an execution”, Arsene Wenger said. More worryingly for some sections of the Arsenal support, Wenger gave no further hint that reinforcements will be arriving in January, barring the return of some of the seven players out through injury – not including Jack Wilshere, whose return date has been put back yet again, to February at the earliest – and promotion from the bench or academy.

“But sometimes the solution is inside and you have to accept that because we are a club which has always given a chance to players we have educated”.
