Arsene Wenger backing top Gunners to find their best form

Criticism of the Frenchman’s perceived lack of spending is a familiar lament as Arsenal aim to win their first league title since 2003-04, and Tim Payton of AST believes spending money in the bank before an anticipated hike in transfer fees when the latest Premier League television deal kicks in would have been a better way to go.

United have been inconsistent this season and their league position is proof of that.

Manchester United is set to play its most important Premier League game of the season on Sunday, with perennial foes Arsenal travelling to Old Trafford for a mouth-watering clash. Their last victory came back in 2006.

Welbeck has recently returned from injury and the England global scored the winning goal in the 2-1 win over Leicester City after climbing off the bench for his comeback appearance.

Arsene Wenger was clearly demoralised by the performance and he will be looking for his side to bounce back here in what is another huge match.

And Wenger has warned his players that they must be at their best if they want to beat Louis van Gaal’s men this weekend. They must refocus and regroup now because they have a great chance in the league.

Arsenal are now third in the Premier League table and two points behind Leicester heading into the final 12 games of the campaign.

Manchester United starting eleven prediction time again! Things don’t get any easier for Van Gaal as David De Gea, Chris Smalling, Matteo Darmian, Anthony Martial and Cameron Borthwick Jackson are all doubts.

“I always look forward to these games”, he told United Review, the club’s official matchday programme.

Arsenal have a few key players expecting to miss this one. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will definitely not be involved after suffering a knee injury in the defeat to Barcelona.
