Arsene Wenger challenges Arsenal to right Champions League wrongs in Athens
Although the Arsenal boss admitted he wasn’t aware of what the event was actually all about when asked at a press conference this morning, he expressed his full sympathy with those hunting for value in a busy market.

The Arsenal and Spain worldwide right back Hector Bellerin has already made himself an extremely popular player with the Arsenal fans, and of course with his manager Arsene Wenger.
Following Arsenal’s 3-0 Champions League victory over Dinamo Zagreb, Wenger confirmed that Coquelin would be sidelined for longer and would be out until mid-February. “Now it’s down to how well we do against Olympiakos”.
The Gunners now sit third in Group F, but they can still reach the next phase of the competition if they beat second-placed Olympiacos by two or more goals in the final round of fixtures.
Cech said Tuesday’s results had brought “exactly the scenario we needed” as both Arsenal and Bayern won, leaving the play-off door open for the London side. “Of course it is vital to score the first goal”.
If Arsenal are to silence the Olympiakos crowd, they will need another influential performance from Sanchez, who set up Mesut Ozil’s opener against Dinamo and then scored twice himself. You saw that we are always capable of doing that. “It is a must-win for us and the task is very clear”.
“It’s not easy to play against them”, Zagreb coach Zoran Mamic said through a translator. “That’s why I play as well Calum Chambers for 10 or 12 minutes on Tuesday to see how he positions and we are happy because he can do it”, Wenger concluded.
“I take information, especially from medical people who know him and treat him everyday, and after that we will look at his overall recovery as well”. “Arsenal can perfectly go to Athens and win”. “What we wanted was to come out of this game with a chance to qualify”, he said.

Wenger is now keen to turn his attention back to the Barclays Premier League after seeing his side miss the opportunity to go top of the table following a defeat at West Brom on Saturday.
