Arsene Wenger has promised Arsenal supporters that he will sign a new defender before the close of the transfer window.

Patrick Vieira suggests Arsenal’s biggest problem is a lack of physicality throughout the whole team.
“I don’t understand it, the flawless example is Ajax”.
Wenger was criticised for not risking the France global in the calamitous 4-3 defeat to Liverpool but his gamble at the King Power Stadium was rewarded with an outstanding performance.
“Leicester is very good at provoking in the box – they got many penalties a year ago – so you never know if it is really a penalty or not”. “I am sorry he didn’t cost £55 million, so he can’t be good”.
“I am sure my chief executive didn’t want to dampen the expectations on that front”, Wenger said after Arsenal’s 1-1 draw at RC Lens in a preseason game.
Arsene Wenger has admitted he can understand fans being frustrated – but claimed Arsenal are being priced out of the market.
“If I buy you tomorrow for 45 million, I’ve spent 45 million”. He said, “I’m disappointed not to have ex-Arsenal players working at Arsenal”.
“I have not to forget as well that we are a club who has 600 employes who we need to have a responsible attitude (towards) as well”. It’s a bit surprising that you come out of football games and you don’t speak about football, you have to speak about money. You have to speak about money. In both the games, although the team suffered from important absentees, the players could not produce inspiring performances and that would be a concern for the boss.
“You had this Arsenal Invincibles which was quite like the French national team when we won the World Cup in 1998, when we had physical players, players with flair, players with pace, it was quite similar of that team”.
“We have a few strikers who have a chance, if we find the right players we buy”. He improved in the game against Leicester but in the home tie against Liverpool, the former Leeds man was all over the place.
“Everyone dug in – we were winning the first challenges, picking up the second balls and were very positive in our play”.
“You could see last week we lost Aaron Ramsey with an injury and now he’s out for one month”, Koscielny told arsenal.com.
“Overall we created the chances to win it”.

“He has an inflammation of his knee, and they had to go in again to see if it is healing well or not”, Wenger explained. Up front, it is very hard. The Gunners immediately looked more unsafe when Wenger brought on Ozil and Giroud toward the end, but they still didn’t create any clear-cut chances. They are more intelligent, more well informed with stronger opinions, and that is what we have to deal with.
