Arsene Wenger: ‘Olivier Giroud suffering with toe injury’
PARIS Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger suggested that David Ospina will retain his place in the team’s next Champions League clash following the goalkeeper’s heroics in Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw with Paris St Germain.

The France striker will miss Arsenal’s next Group A game at home to FC Basel on September 28, while Verratti will be sidelined for PSG’s match away to Bulgarian champions Ludogorets.
“He’s one of the best strikers in the world and Im not anxious”, said Khelaifi said of Cavani, who has always racked up the goals but also has a habit of conjuring breathtaking misses – he squandered two golden chances to increase PSG’s lead against Arsenal before the interval.
“He has a stature, he has the power, he has the strength”.
“We are cautious with him, we do not want a setback with his hamstring”, Wenger said. It’s short you know. It’s not worrying because they had to rely on him so much, but it’s worrying because their best player is probably not going to be the one who starts most matches. He will do that without any problem. “But I think he has the engine to have an impact with his runs”. “Elneny as well, both of them are focused and top, top quality”.
Wenger said Xhaka remains a big part of his plans, but hinted that he may continue with a central partnership of Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin for Saturday’s trip to Hull.
“We were in trouble in the first half, they pressed well, were fast on the counterattack, were determined and played aggressively”, Wenger said.
Arsenal overall were very lucky to get a point but grinding out results is not something I have associated with them over the past ten years.
“Arsenal are a team that I’ve admired for years because of the attractive playing style”.
“He is doing very well”, Wenger added. “He’s a real football man who has given some stability to Hull and they are hard to beat”, said Wenger.
“But this is football, sometimes the ball goes in, sometimes it doesn’t”. Midfielder Granit Xhaka and striker Olivier Giroud, who again didn’t start, were left on the bench.

Arsene Wenger sent Giroud on set up of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, a move that empowered Sanchez to move out wide. He has been a bit behind fitness-wise. “He’s slowly getting there”.
