Arsene Wenger promises ‘frenetic’ final week of Arsenal’s transfer window
The asking price will shatter Arsenal’s current record transfer fee of £41.5 million, paid to Real Madrid for Mustafi’s worldwide team-mate Mesut Ozil in 2013.

Gunners boss Wenger chose to walk away from Mustafi because of the price but the deal could be rescued because Valencia need the cash.
“Mustafi is not for sale and he will stay at VCF”, he told reporters. “We have a requested number, and we can’t have any more players any way”.
Reports on Thursday suggested fees have been agreed for both players, although it has now been suggested Valencia are yet to accept Arsenal’s bid for Germany defender Mustafi.
The 53-year-old also spoke about Paco Alcacer, the Valencia striker being linked with a move to FC Barcelona.
“The president has said in public that Alcacer and Mustafi are not for sale and I have to believe her”.
They signed 20-year-old Englishman Rob Holding from Bolton and Wenger praised his performance at the King Power Stadium, while Poland youngster Krystian Bielik is also being developed as a centre-back.
“His future is not affected”, said Wenger.
There are many factors involved in Arsenal being unable to win a championship in the last 12 seasons, struggling to make an impact in the Champions League, and anything else Arsenal fans have to complain about.
However, he is seen as a player who will take too much time on the ball, while he lacks discipline, which are two areas of his game likely to improve with experience, perhaps making a temporary move appealing to all involved.
There are certainly similarities this year as Arsenal – clearly in need of reinforcements – have watched their rivals spend millions whilst sitting on their cash until the last minute.
However, Valencia’s initial asking price of £35m was thought to have been more than Arsenal are willing to pay, and the Daily Mirror now reports that the Spanish outfit have increased it further.
Wenger’s desire to find value in the transfer market has undeniably been undermined by his dithering.
“I am sad and disappointed by the result but satisfied by the performance of the team, it is hard to play better”, Ayestaran added.
Lacazette is only three goals short of reaching his target.

Per-the-source, the La Liga giants are demanding that Arsenal pay £50 million for the Germany global.
