Arsene Wenger reveals which Arsenal defender has won his trust
Ozil’s superb run of form has been the catalyst for Arsenal’s climb to the top of the Premier League table heading into 2016.

Ozil has already provided 16 assists this season and was on the scoresheet himself in Arsenal’s last outing against Bournemouth. “If things go well, they have a bunch of young players”.
“I believe that we are mature enough and that we have the requested quality to fight and compete”.
“I think he plays in a position that suits him well”.
“I played him in a few games since the start of the season. He is just a special player and is only going to get better and better”.
“Obviously it always takes time when you come into a new team and new environment to get the balance right but everyone knows his strength and he is fitting in now”.
While Ozil is nearly certain to start, Gabriel is another player who will be hoping to keep his place having been drafted into the centre of defence as a replacement for Laurent Koscielny on Monday.
“Some of the things you see on the pitch, his goal alone [against Bournemouth], he didn’t break stride and it was like he was jogging. The finish (against Bournemouth) was class”.
“You don’t have many left-footers like Mesut”. They make that movement from out to in and make the bend of the ball.
Leicester lost 1-0 at Liverpool prior to Tuesday’s goalless stalemate with City, but manager Claudio Ranieri says that his players are determined not to let their early-season momentum peter out.
Ozil is now in his third season at Arsenal after his £42million move from Real Madrid and has drawn comparisons to Dennis Bergkamp from Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
Walcott also again admitted that his preference would be to play as the main central striker, despite Olivier Giroud now occupying that role.
Arsene Wenger is willing to give Jack Wilshere extra opportunities to prove his fitness as he considers the midfielder to be a “special talent”. Newcastle have been very poor over the Christmas period and I’m confident we can secure another three points on home soil tomorrow. But I don’t rule England out, but you are not the first favourites.

Steve McClaren, Newcastle: “We can’t wallow in defeat and don’t celebrate too hard in victory because the next one is just around the corner”. Anything for the team, really – I will do anything. “If we give 100 percent, then we accept every result”.
