Arsene Wenger Sorry After Arsenal Fans Protests

Under-fire Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger has praised Danny Welbeck, claiming he is a different animal again following his return from injury, as reported by ESPN.

On his 750th Premier League game in charge of Arsenal, some fans in a divided home support held up banners opposing Wenger in the 12th and 78th minutes – referencing the 12 years since their last title.

The French coach has been at the helm of Arsenal for 20 years now, overseeing some of the best and worst periods in the club’s rich history.

“I’m sorry if I can’t keep everyone 100 per cent happy. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to do that this season”. We had three strikers on at that time.

“But he will make it for himself; that’s the power he has at that football club”, Keown added.

Naturally, protests and disillusioned fans are not what Wenger would want to see at home games moving forward, as in a flawless world every supporter would be getting behind the team and pushing them on to do better. Perform, try to do as well as you can and accept people’s opinions.

But they have only back-to-back FA Cup wins in 2014 and 2015 to show for their efforts since then and have gone out of the Champions League in the last 16 for the past six seasons running.

“Our fans have been frustrated and disappointed because they thought we would win the league this season and we didn’t”. “It was a much-wanted win, and needed and hard”, said Wenger.

“Today again, once we were 1-0 up there were more goals [available] in the game for us”.

And Wenger admitted Arsenal are still struggling to find the fluency they need heading in to a visit to the Etihad next week.

The Canaries have three games remaining – against Manchester United on Saturday, Watford on May 11 and at Everton – to climb out of the bottom three.

Neil pointed to the potential match-winners in his squad – Nathan Redmond, Wes Hoolahan, Cameron Jerome and Dieumerci Mbokani among them -and hopes they can prove that status.
