Arsene Wenger: The “disadvantage” against Bournemouth was “too big”
Arsene Wenger has moved to play down concerns about Alexis Sanchez after the Chile global was pictured as furious following Arsenal’s 3-3 draw with Bournemouth on Tuesday night.

Ryan Shawcross and Peter Crouch scored either side of halftime for Stoke as they eased into mid-table. “That is normal”, he said.
“It is a big priority for us”, said the Frenchman.
“We have sold the rights to TV for a lot of money so we have to accept TV chooses the games, but some teams have more luck than others”.
“It was a physical test and we had some trouble getting out of the blocks”, he added.
We should not have done those kind of mistakes, so we’ve done well to come back but honestly it’s very frustrating.
“I think once a player goes outside and runs without any problems, you count six weeks”.
The Cherries had raced to a three-goal lead after some lackadaisical defending from the visiting side, with full-back Charlie Daniels opening the scoring as early on in the first half.
The holiday season is a joyous time, people are festive, gifts are exchanged and most importantly, we are treated to a gluttony of football from the Premier League.
Wenger’s team visit Bournemouth on Tuesday just two days after hosting Crystal Palace in the league but leaders Chelsea are not in action until Wednesday after their 4-2 victory over Stoke on Saturday.
Olivier Giroud inspired Arsenal’s comeback at Bournemouth but was nonetheless frustrated that the game finished in a draw.
“At least we have come back and shown great mental strength”, Giroud said. Fraser scored the Cherries’ third in particularly impressive fashion. Since Arsenal isn’t the sort of club to appoint a manager for the short term, Howe, who at 39 already has a decade of managerial experience – nearly all of it at Bournemouth – seems like a natural fit. With their first attempt on goal, Alexis dived to latch onto Giroud’s head on after 70 minutes. “When you are 3-0 down and come back, it shows strong character”.
“Look I am ready to play tomorrow again, as long as we play against an opponent who has played today as well”.
“It wasn’t a great technical game but I don’t want to be negative”. That is what I call fair.
And the France striker said: “I was sure we could have scored the victor”.
