Thousands of Palestinians participated in the funeral of martyr Saad Dawabsheh, 33, who died of his wounds, at dawn on Saturday, due to a terrorist arson attack by Jewish settlers last Friday.

Dawabsha’s wife, Riham, and four-year-old son Ahmed are still fighting for their lives in another Israeli hospital, near Tel Aviv.
Nine Israeli settlers suspected of extremist activities against Palestinians were arrested by Israeli forces after overnight police raids in several illegal outposts in the West Bank.
Two minors detained late Saturday night while they were hitchhiking in the West Bank were only released at 7 a.m., the Honenu spokesman said.
“Meir Ettinger and Eviatar Slonim, who were arrested in recent days, have been placed in administrative detention for six months with the possibility of extension”, the defence ministry said.
Saad Dawabsha, 32, died in an Israeli hospital where he was being treated for second-degree burns to most of his body.
“A systemic deep change is needed in law enforcement towards settlers but the government is not interested in this so it goes for high-profile cases and administrative detention to divert attention”.
While the attacks were not related, both have led to criticism of Israel’s government and security forces, who have been accused of failing to properly address Jewish extremism.
Israeli authorities said the arson attack on 31 July was an act of “Jewish terrorism”, and Israel’s security cabinet approved the use of tough measures to combat an increasing problem, including administrative detention, which allows suspects to be held for lengthy periods without charge.
But Israeli observers say it remains to be seen whether the steps portend a real shift away from what Israeli President Reuven Rivlin conceded after the Duma attack is a “lax” attitude by the authorities towards Jewish terrorism.
The military said a group of Palestinians attacked the Israeli at a gas station on Sunday.
