Talking about his meeting with Kejriwal after his resignation from the Rajya Sabha, Sidhu said, “Kejriwal ji tweeted about meeting with me, but he said half truth. He [Kejriwal] offered a ministerial berth to my wife if AAP won and asked me not to fight the elections”, he said. Sidhu has formed a new front in Punjab “Awaaz-e-Punjab” along with former hockey player Pargat Singh and Bains brothers. He concluded the conference by asking for another 15 days before coming back with his decision with regards to upcoming Panjab elections.

“If AAP comes to power, there will be complete ban on sale of meat, liquor and any kind of intoxicant within the walled city keeping in view the presence of most pious place, the Durbar Sahib (Golden Temple)”, the Delhi Chief Minister said.
He accused the ruling family of running the government in Punjab for the past decade as a personal fiefdom and putting their self-interests before the interests of the state and its people. Two years ago, I had reduced a Rajya Sabha seat when I was called in by Arun Jaitely, Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah. “But one thing I must say, that first of all he should put his own house (AAP) in order and teach the basic lesson of morality and its relevance in value based politics to the entire rank and file of his party”. He claimed all well-meaning people were used as decoration pieces and, “I was used as such a showpiece by the BJP for its rallies”, he said.
“To save SAD and BJP in Punjab, Sidhu has made this B team, whose job is to make Kejriwal its target. I said “Sat Shri Akal”; you (Kejriwal) only want “Yes Men”.
Sehrawat said the Mahila Morcha had recently met Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and warned him about the “gherao” of Kejriwal. “Our slogan is Punjab will win, Punjabiyat will win and Punjabis will win”.

Sidhu has always insisted that he does not want to leave Punjab, Amritsar precisely and want to work for the welfare of the people of the state. This was a swipe at the Badals of the Shiromani Akali Dal, whose patriarch Sukhbir Singh Badal ruled the state in coalition with the BJP for quite some time.
