Attacking the AAP leader, Sidhu said, “Kejriwal wants only yes-men.arrogance in democracy is not acceptable”.

Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu on Thursday launched a new political party called the Awaaz-e-Punjab, with which he aims to contest the Punjab Assembly elections that will take place in 2017. The AAP, however, blamed the Delhi Police for letting women protesters from the BJP get so close to him.

Ashutosh had written a blog for a news website defending suspended AAP Minister Sandeep Kumar, whose sex-tape had surfaced late last month.

“Awaaz-e-Punjab is not a party, at this stage…it is a forum of like-minded people…good Punjabis”, he said, in his characteristic style.

Sehrawat said the Mahila Morcha had recently met Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and warned him about the “gherao” of Kejriwal.

“Today I have to concede that the judgement (of August 4) stands against me (Delhi government)”, Nandrajog told the bench. While Sidhu, who quit as a nominated member of the Rajya Sabha in July, is still a member of the BJP, Pargat remains a part of the Akali Dal.

He said that the AAP was not the reason for his resignation from the Rajya Sabha, “I resigned for my own reasons, they (BJP) forced me to campaign for Badals, then they said don’t go towards Punjab, this was unacceptable to me, it was a conscious decision”. The Bains brothers, who had fallen out with the SAD top leadership three years ago, have significant influence in Ludhiana district.

Delhi BJP head Satish Upadhyay on Wednesday compared Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to Roman Emperor Nero in regard to the latter’s alleged silence on the goings-on within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). “I thanked him. He also wanted to make me a decoration piece, which I was earlier”, he told reporters. “I will listen to all of them and laugh along”, Sidhu added.

He accused the ruling family of running the government in Punjab for the past decade as a personal fiefdom and putting their self-interests before the interests of the state and its people.
