Arvind Kejriwal sacks minister Sandeep Kumar over alleged sex tape

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday evening sacked his cabinet colleague, social welfare minister, Sandeep Kumar after he received an objectionable CD.

Sandeep Kumar is the third minister Kejriwal has dropped since he was voted back to power in 2015.

He took to twitter to announce his decision: “Recd “objectionable” CD of minister Sandeep Kr”. “AAP will not tolerate any allegations of corruption or impropriety. That can’t be compromised”.

He said that Kumar is being removed from the cabinet with immediate effect.

Maliwal said, “Acts of Sandeep Kumar shocking and unfortunate”.

In October past year, Mr Kejriwal had sacked Asim Ahmed Khan, 38, who was minister for food and environment. A meeting was on at the Chief Minister’s Flagstaff Road bungalow till late in the night to decide on further action and also who would replace Mr Kumar as minister for Women and Child Development, Language and SC & ST.

He is an MLA from Sultanpur Majra assembly constituency of North West Delhi. He is the second AAP minister to be sacked after Asim Ahmed Khan who was minister for food and supplies.

BJP leader Vijender Gupta said: “When they (AAP) got elected, they said we had 67 gems. Why aren’t they expelled from Party?”, he tweeted.

He further said that the party can not tolerate any kind of such illicit activities.

“This government is a corrupt and Arvind Kejriwal should immediately resign from his post on moral grounds”, he said. “This is the difference between the AAP and other parties”, he told reporters outside Kejriwal’s home.
