“No consent means no, whether you’re conscious or unconscious”, Biden said, according to Syracuse.com.

“I promised them I’d be wearing orange – northern Syracuse Orange”, he said.

“We are closer than ever to passing a bill that would finally give our colleges and universities an incentive to solve the problem”, Gillibrand said inside the Schine Student Center, “rather than stay silent and pretend it doesn’t exist”. Organizers say bystander intervention is an effective deterrent.

The university’s efforts in improving the prevention of sexual violence are being supported and advanced by the work of Chancellor Kent Syverud’s Task Force on Sexual and Relationship Violence, which he appointed in April.

In his speech, Biden said that victims of sexual assault relive the “heinous crime” every time details of their attack are repeated.

Biden signed the Clemson football helmet the following on Tuesday: “To Eric and the No. 1 team in the nation”.
