The storm, which brought an entire season’s worth of snowfall to the city over two days, prompted cancellation of all flights into and out of Philadelphia’s airport on Saturday.

Even as the airlines resumed operations, the remnants of the storm posed problems.

Thousands of flights to and from Washington DC, Baltimore, New York and Philadelphia are canceled or delayed due to the blizzard bearing down on the East Coast.

Arrivals and departures at LaGuardia, John F. Kennedy International, and Newark Liberty were observed on Sunday, although Washington airports were idle except for a dozen flights that were en route, the chief executive of FlightAware.com said in an email.

As of Saturday morning, more than 7,000 flights nationwide were cancelled due to blizzard-like conditions across the East Coast. Newark Liberty International lists 244 cancelled flights and 9 delays as of Monday morning, the most of any USA airport.

If you are at the airport and your flight is canceled, call or go online to rebook your flight. Baltimore/Washington International listed 74 cancellations and 4 delayed. There are already more than 200 flight cancellations for Tuesday, with the bulk from United Airlines’ regional carrier United Express at Washington Dulles. At least 31 people have died as a result of the snowstorm.
