As GOP Nomination Fight Gets More Feisty, So Does Marco Rubio
Yet the Republican race remains deeply uncertain, with party elites still hoping that one of the more mainstream candidates will rise up to challenge Trump and Cruz.

The debate was already highly anticipated.
Political veterans have come to view SC as the early state that best represents a wide cross section of the political right.
His comments marked a shift in rhetoric as Rubio tries to retool his once-ascendant campaign days after his fifth-place finish in the New Hampshire primary; it also highlights the layered battle in SC, as candidates in a still crowded field feel out their best strategies for surviving here and advancing into a grueling March primary schedule, when 58 percent of the party’s delegate total will be at stake.
Rubio’s poor performance has created a potential opening for Jeb Bush, who has declared that SC is where it all begins for him. The polls predicted a big win for Trump in the Granite State, and he scored 35.3 percent of the vote, easily beating Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who came in second with 15.8 percent.
Who should replace Justice Scalia?
But, bringing out the 43rd president to campaign is a bit of a political gamble. Now, in the middle of a presidential race, candidates will be asked who should replace Scalia, and what kind of litmus tests they would place on a nominee. Trump said voters won’t hear any foul language from him.
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio said a new GOP president should appoint someone who would “put people on the bench who understand that the constitution is not a living and breathing document – it is to be interpreted as it was originally meant”.
Cruz and many legal experts say Cruz meets the constitutional requirements because he was born to an American mother and grew up in the United States. “Therefore, this vacancy should not be filled until we have a new president”.
The Sunday after the last Republican debate in New Hampshire, a clip of Rubio’s performance saturated the airwaves, playing on repeat on the morning shows and throughout the day.
Now, here’s the latest information about how to watch CBS GOP debate on TV and Online Streaming.
Rubio, as though on cue, repeated several times – nearly word-for-word – a statement about how President Obama was purposefully taking the country down a wrong path.
“There it is. There it is”, Christie said. Instead, he finished New Hampshire looking up at Kasich and Bush, and now finds himself trying to peel votes from all the other campaigns.
Rubio aims to nibble a little at all the GOP voting groups in the state. On Saturday, he’ll need to demonstrate that he’s put last weekend’s flop squarely behind him – and certainly avoid repeating the same, practiced lines.
After dropping out of the race for GOP party head on Wednesday, all eyes are on Chris Christie for yet another reason. “Donald Trump will stomp on your property rights”, it declared against an illustration of the billionaire real estate mogul stomping on a suburban house.
Even though everyone has expected for weeks that Donald Trump would win the New Hampshire primary, the scale of that win should unsettle both his rivals and the pundits.

Bernie Sanders followed the New Hampshire primary with a fundraising bonanza that netted more than $5.2 million in the first 18 hours after he delivered his victory speech. The campaign pulled an attack ad against Cruz, replacing it with a positive spot.
