As GOP readies for debate, Clinton calls for ‘common ground’

Hillary Clinton’s presidential platform may have similarities with her husband’s tenure, but she’s not aiming for “the Clinton Administration 2.0”, as she adamantly told Stephen Colbert during Tuesday’s episode of The Late Show.

“You’d think it would be no-brainer, Republicans and Democrats have worked on this for decades”, Clinton said.

Citing praise from New York Times columnist Paul Krugman, Clinton said her financial-industry regulation plan, released earlier this month, is the most comprehensive plan of any candidate.

“Are you jealous?” Colbert wondered.

“I think there are certain egregious cases that still deserve consideration of the death penalty, but I would like to see those be very limited and rare”, Clinton said.

Completing her march through late-night, Clinton will appear on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live on November 5.

“Well, I can picture them in a few office”, she responded coyly.
