As Trump tries minority outreach, many blacks unconvinced
Brazile called on black voters to reject Trump in November, saying the hallmark of the billionaire’s candidacy “has been incendiary statements created to divide America and demonize minority communities, from his deplorable birtherism to his “law and order” rhetoric”. “What do you have to lose?” He has described blacks in sweeping and categorical language, suggesting that they are mired in poverty, living in risky neighborhoods and have nothing to lose by giving him a chance.

In Wisconsin, he declared to minorities: “You live in poverty, your schools are no good, you have no jobs, 58 percent of your youth is unemployed?”
Multiple GOP sources confirmed plans for the meeting and characterized it as part of Trump’s outreach efforts in the African-American and Latino communities. The black poverty rate is about 27 percent. For most African-Americans, Berg said, Trump must “meet them where they are”.
Trump also has retweeted a number of messages from Twitter users with questionable profiles, including one with the handle @WhiteGenocideTM. If you calculated white youth unemployment that same way, it would be almost 50 percent.
Republican vice presidential candidate Gov. Mike Pence is blaming both Democrats and Republicans for the decline of manufacturing in the United States.
Does Trump have the faintest clue what black America is really like? From the evidence, no. The battleground state features a critical Senate race this year, but Trump has all but ignored the OH state party. More than half of registered voters polled also said men and women still don’t enjoy equal opportunities. You know how many hotels we have around the world?
According to the Dallas Morning News, Trump’s campaign events in Texas are “the closest to the general election by any major-party presidential nominee in two decades”, signifying just how anxious Trump is about traditional Republican states slipping away from him.
“Trump’s own words and deeds have made him a singularly unqualified messenger for reconciliation”, she added”. “I was very moved by his comment”.
Trump even suggested Tuesday that he is open to “softening” laws dealing with immigrants.
The Trump campaign is aware of this perception. But antipathy toward Latinos who are “flooding” across the border, allegedly to take Americans’ jobs and commit awful crimes, is a central tenet of Trumpism.
The recently appointed campaign manager said that the “hidden Trump vote” is “very significant”.
“So, as an example, Donald Trump is renting space in one of his buildings to his campaign and the campaign is paying Donald Trump personally for the space”, Kaine said during a roundtable in Lakewood, Colorado. She dismissed Trump’s slumping poll numbers as the result of media bias. After spending 14 months spewing verbal venom and denigrating ethnic groups and rivals, Trump has abruptly, but imprecisely, expressed regret if his words hurt anyone, lowered the boisterous tone of his speeches and tempered some of his most controversial positions. Within hours, he had slung a personal insult at a regular guest on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” (not me).
Megyn Kelly didn’t hold back on The Kelly File Monday evening.
I’ve said it before: Trump is not going to change.

But in an interview with Bill O’Reilly, in which he responded to reports that he’s backing off of his vow of mass deportations – a promise he’s made many times – Trump basically admitted the whole story he’s been telling about immigration for the past year is a big scam. It’s delusional to pretend otherwise.
