Astros, Kazmir fall to Giants 3

In this series-opening game the Astros are sending newly-acquired Scott Kazmir to the mound. It compels us to turn on the TV, the radio, whatever device we use to watch (or hear) the game to see who will be next to hit a splash ball in McCovey Cove or to watch the infield go around the horn. Catcher Andrew Susac (thumb) started a rehab assignment Tuesday night with High-A San Jose as their designated hitter and went 1-for-4. Finally it’s starting to pay off as the youngsters for the Astros are Major League ready and playing well.
